Where to Get Help ~ Sunday Devotion

May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. Psalm 20:2 (NIV)

Have you ever requested to speak to the manager? Perhaps you’ve had subpar service, or you’re just not getting the answers you need. So, you go to the top. You want the one in charge. Surely that person has the answer and can help you.

You and I have direct access to the manager, to the founder, the creator, the CEO. We don’t have to settle for subpar help. When we need help, Jesus is accessible to us. The One who manages the Universe. The One who created you and me and everything we see. Our help comes straight from the top, and we can access His help if we’ll go there to request it.

Often, you’ll hear (or even say) something like, “I guess there’s nothing to do but pray.” But praying is everything! Going to the Source is where we get our best help, our best comfort, our best guidance, our best answers.

Where do you go for help? Too often, we wait until we're out of resources before we go to the One who can best help us. Go straight to Jesus. Share on X

Whether you’re facing a hard decision about your career, hurting because of a broken relationship, struggling with weight and body image, or troubled by any number of things, go to the Lord. He will send help if you request it. While your friend, mentor, or coach online might have good intentions to help and support you, they are not the best source of help. Only Jesus truly knows you and knows what is best for you. Will you ask for His help? He’s ready to send help to you.

Action Step: Read chapter 20 in Psalms. It will encourage you and give you hope as you seek the Lord and put your trust in Him.

Happy Sunday!
