Why another faith and fitness devotional?
Over the years, I could find a lot of devotionals. And I found a lot of books on fitness, even ones that had a faith element. But I had a hard time finding a devotional that combined both faith and fitness and spoke directly to the struggles I was having. I had gathered numerous Bible verses that spoke to my body image and weight loss issues, and I finally decided to write about how they helped me overcome the frustrations and low self-esteem that comes with not liking my body.
That’s how the first devotional came about, but the journey continued. The past 10 years of this journey, I have been practicing what the Lord has taught me through His Word, from those verses that led to the first devotional, and celebrating the freedom I found in the process. Along the way, I’ve been able to help other women do the same. Still, I keep discovering verses that will aid us in taking a faith-first approach to fitness and embracing our age and stage of life. I keep writing what God puts on my heart. Many recent verses have come from the book of Psalms so it was time to gather them all in one place and share another devotional.

Background on 50 Days of Faith and Fitness
This book began as my 50 Days to 50 Challenge. I turned 50 in September 2022, and I wanted to bring along my followers. So we embarked on the journey together.
At almost 50, I already knew I was too old to be worrying about my weight but not too old to spend time with family, be in pictures, and be living my best life. I invited women to come alongside me for 50 days while I showed them what I was doing to embrace my stage of life while still making sure I had optimal balance, spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
The results were renewed faith, fitness, and mindset by getting a daily dose of Jesus, fresh air, and movement.

She does this by teaching her Faith and Fitness Framework™ and providing guidance and encouragement in her Faith and Fitness Support and Accountability Community.
