Walk With God ~ Sunday Devotional
“After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.” Genesis 5:22 (NKJV)
“This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.” Genesis 6:9 (NKJV)
Walk with God.
Will that be said of you like it was said of Enoch and Noah?
When all is said and done, could they put on my tombstone, “Marsha walked with God”?
Will that be one of the things they remember about you?
It’s graduation time of year. High school students and college students are moving onto the next chapter of their lives. So many possibilities. Goals. Dreams.
You were there once as well.
Big plans.
It’s great to have dreams and goals and to want to make a difference. But we can only do that if we choose to walk with God.
He has a plan and purpose for each of us.
The most important is that we know Him and then we choose to walk with Him on the path He has designed for us.
A practical way to put this thought into action today is to go for a walk and spend time with the Lord.
You can gain spiritual benefits from physical activity when you integrate your faith and your fitness.
As you walk, reflect on where you are today, what you’re doing with your life.
It’s never too late to start walking with God…in both the spiritual and physical sense of the word. He wants to spend time with you and wants to reveal Himself to you.
Walk with God today.
Happy Sunday!
