What Wonderful Things You Have Done ~ Sunday Devotional
“O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isaiah 25:1 (NKJV)
Set free from weight loss worries.
Given a second chance at marriage.
Blessed with friends and family who love me.
A lump that turned out to be nothing of concern.
Safety when I was miles away from home on a mission trip.
These are just a few of the wonderful things God has done for me.
When we focus on the many and amazing ways God has blessed us and the wonderful things He’s done for us, we can’t help but have a better attitude.
Do you have a gratitude practice?
I started years ago with a small notebook where I jotted down 3 things each day that I was grateful for.
A few years ago, I started using Kitlife Planners*, and they have a spot for daily gratitude.
Some days I wait until the end of the day to record what I’m thankful for. Other days I make notes as it happens.
Because of this practice, I’ve become more aware of the goodness of God on a daily basis.
Once you begin a regular gratitude practice, you’ll become more aware of the wonderful things God is doing all around you all the time, and you’ll more easily give Him praise.
Take some time to reflect on the wonderful things God has done for you and begin to notice the wonderful things He’s doing for you today.
If you’d like to share some of the wonderful things God has done for you, join me in the Faith and Fitness Sisterhood every Thursday for Prayer and Praise Day. That’s where we share prayer requests and praise reports. Let us lift you up and rejoice with you.
