You Are Not Alone ~ Sunday Devotional
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Psalm 68:5-6 (NIV)
You’re in a crowded room, yet you feel alone.
You’re in a relationship, still you feel alone.
You have a phone full of contacts, but you don’t feel like you can turn to any of them.
There are times in our lives when we feel lonely.
You can’t explain it. You don’t know why. There’s no lack of people in the world, yet in that moment, in that season, you feel alone.
But you are not alone.
Maybe no one in the crowded room, your significant other, or people in your contact list can understand, but God does.
He sees you.
He knows you.
If you’re without family, He will be your family.
If you need a friend, He will be your friend.
If you need safe loving arms, you can run into His.
No matter what is happening in your life right now, God is with you.
He will be who you need.
He will send people into your life at just the right time with just the right words.
Let Him comfort you today. Look for His provision. Run into His arms.
You are not alone.
