While We Wandered ~ Sunday Devotion
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (NIV)
During the Lenten season, likely more than any other time of the year, we remember the sacrifice that God made to send His Son Jesus to die for us. But we would do well to reflect on it throughout the year.
Sending His Son was God’s plan from the beginning. Fully knowing that we didn’t deserve it. Yet, it was the only way. It is the only way.
He sacrificed His Son because we wandered. He sacrificed Him while we were wandering. In our desert. In our wilderness of sin.
While we wandered separate from our God, He sent His Son. Why? He loved us. He loves you. He loves me.
He created you and saw that you were good. He was able to see us beyond our sins.
No matter where you are or what you're doing right now, God loves you. He is waiting for you and has a plan for you. Share on XWhile you and I wandered in our wilderness, He loved us. He made a plan for us to come back to Him. And now it’s available to us.
Whether it’s your first time accepting His love and forgiveness or if you’ve known Him but have spent time wandering, He still loves you.
We are reminded daily through His Word and through His Spirit that His love is readily available to us, at any given moment, in the middle of any situation.
Action Step: Are you wandering? Have you wandered away? God sees you. He loves you so very much. Receive His love today.
In the midst of uncertainty, He is certain. When we are unsure, He is sure. Among the questions, He is the answer.
Happy Sunday!
