If you’re struggling to know what your purpose is, to decide on your next step in life, how to care for your body, etc., go to the One who made you. You’re not going to discover your purpose in life in another self-help book. You’re not going to be able to figure out the next step to take by following someone else. You’re not going to know how to take care of your unique body by following a one-size-fits-all diet plan. The answer to your questions, the help for your struggles, can only be found when you consult your Maker. 

When I went to school to become a counselor, I didn’t study algebra to learn how to help people. I studied curriculum and attended classes that taught me the fundamentals of counseling and human behavior. I went to the source, to the experts in the field, to show me the way into this profession. God is our source. He is the expert about you. 

If you want to understand who you are, how you’ve been made, why God placed you where you are right now, go to Him. Spend time praying and reading the Bible. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding and guidance. 

Action Step: Are you struggling? Do you need guidance in a particular area of your life? Are you acquainted with your Creator? That’s who can give you understanding in how to proceed and how to live the life He’s designed for you to live.
