Study God’s Word ~ Sunday Devotion
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8 (NLT)
Why do you study something? You study to learn. You study to prepare for tests.
Learn the material then test and apply it. Next, you move forward. Graduation season seems like a good time to reflect on this process. Students are reaping the benefits of years of learning, testing, and having succeeded in those steps to move on in life.
We study God’s Word to learn more about Him and how to live the life He’s called us to.
Throughout life we’re going to be tested. By studying God’s Word, we’ll be prepared for those tests along the way.
Grow through what you go through.
Now, successful will take on many meanings and look differently for each person and each situation according to God’s plan, but here’s the message from this verse:
When we put God first and when we approach every endeavor with a faith focus by keeping our eyes on Jesus, He will see us through. We will not fail.
Faith is one of the 4 pillars of the Faith and Fitness Framework™. But it’s not just any pillar, it’s the most important one. It’s the foundation that all others are built on. We learn what God says about who we are and how we’re created. Then we apply it to how we pursue a healthy life. It leads to living fit and free.
Study God’s Word to learn more about Him and how to live the life He’s called you to live. Make time for Him today. You won't regret it. #StudyGodsWord Click To Tweet
