Second Quarter 2025 Recap ~ A Glimpse into My Planner
We’ve come to the end of the second quarter of 2025. Actually, we’ve come to the end of July, and I’m just now sitting down to recap April, May, and June, but sometimes I get off schedule. I’ve been doing quarterly recaps for several years by giving you a glimpse into my planner. That’s the place where I keep track of everything. This is my first year designing my own daily planner with the help of Plum Paper. This planner has a To Do List, Schedule, and Notes area. I also have space for daily gratitude, meals, and my workout.
So, let’s get on with a recap of April, May, and June.
The Highlights
I published When I’m Running: Finding Money and Meaning. I’m so excited that this book is out. The first time I found money was when I was a young girl, and I’ve been finding money since then. Over the years, God has taught me lessons by finding coins, and sometimes bills, when I’m out running or walking. I finally put those lessons and related devotions into a book.
Move More Challenge happened in May. Several women started moving a little more and established a consistent exercise routine to carry them through the summer and beyond.
Pray More Challenge happened in June. During this challenge, dozens of women gave priority to their daily time with Jesus. Many incorporated it into their daily movement, so they enjoyed a dose of Jesus, fresh air, and a walk. What a great way to tend to your physical and spiritual health.
I started my next book. With this book I’ll return to faith and fitness devotions. The focus for this devotional is living fit and free. I’m looking to release it early 2026.

Meals
Most recently, I’ve only been using this section for evening meal plans. This helps with my grocery list and making sure that I get protein out of my freezer and into the refrigerator to thaw by the time we need it. Sometimes I use it as a food journal, but I haven’t felt the need to do that recently.
Workouts
Yoga every day. It’s a given. I do 10-30 minutes each day. In June, I shared some yoga poses with my Faith and Fitness Support and Accountability Community.
Weights 3-4 times a week. I also go for a short walk a couple of times a week wearing my weighted vest.
Still running regularly and adding some biking…finally! It’s been nice to get out on my bike to enjoy some solo rides as well as bike rides with friends. I’m not doing nearly the mileage I did last year, but that’s okay. I like the diversity of exercise.
Faith
Love God Greatly – Abiding in Jesus Bible study.
YouVersion App – We use this app in my Faith and Fitness Support and Accountability Community to do group Bible plans. During the second quarter, we covered things like walking with Jesus and prayer.
What’s next?
Drink More (water!) Challenge – Water is one of the four pillars of my Faith and Fitness Framework. Many women underestimate the importance of drinking water. We’ll spend a week improving this healthy habit.
Fit and Free Devotions – I’ll be sharing these devotions in my monthly coaching group. Our July focus is all about living fit and free. Each day, we will read a devotion related to this with a “letting go of” suggestion.
Eat More (slowly!) Challenge – Slowing down is the first step to becoming more mindful with your nutrition. We’ll practice this together with my free challenge.
We’re moving! We’re scheduled to close on a house at the end of July. We’re not going far, just across town, but we’ll be on a lake and will be downsizing a bit.
Getting another year older and celebrating anniversary of 50 Days to 50. I’m turning 53 on September 20. Three years ago, I shared 50 devotions leading up to my 50th birthday.
Football season starts! I love football, and I can’t wait until it kicks off in September.
Cheers to the third quarter of 2025!
