Reflecting Jesus ~ Sunday Devotional
“They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.” Psalm 34:5 (NKJV)
When you’re looking to Jesus, you can’t help but reflect Him.
When you’re focused on Jesus, people notice there’s something different about you. It’s not based on a pretty face or outward appearance.
You give off a different vibe.
This chapter of the Psalms is titled, “The Happiness of Those Who Trust in God.”
There’s no shame in putting your trust in someone, especially when that someone is the Creator of the Universe. He can be trusted.
We’re headed into Holy Week. Although there are reminders around us daily of what God has done for us, this week in particular brings our focus very clearly on the sacrifice He made because of the love He has for each one of us.
Someone who loves you that much can be trusted. That’s who you need to be looking to for guidance and assurance. No shame in that.
Too often we focus outside in, but the real focus has to be inside out.
When we work on the inside, the outside shows it…through our actions, the energy we give off, and even in appearance.
When we look at others on the inside first, we recognize that they, like us, are God’s creation and worthy of love and respect.
Do you have your eyes set on Jesus and your trust in Him?
He gave His life for you. Will you give yours to Him?
Happy Sunday!
