Pass It On ~ Sunday Devotional
“One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4 (NKJV)
I am thankful that I was raised in a Christian home. The most important thing my parents ever did for me was to introduce me to Jesus.
Yes, they loved me and provided for me. They made sure I got an education. They taught me manners. They did all the things parents are “supposed” to do.
But the best thing, the most valuable thing, the thing that makes all the difference, and the only thing that truly matters, is that my parents told me about Jesus and how much He loves me and how He died for me.
And now as a parent myself, the most important thing I will do for my child is to introduce Him to Jesus.
I recall Ethan’s baptism, and I remember thinking to myself, “This is the most important day. This moment is the best ever. He could become the President of the United States, and it wouldn’t measure up to the importance of this.”
Whether it’s our children or anyone who we have influence over, sharing Jesus with them is the most important thing we can do.
A couple of years ago, I wrote “40 Days of Faith and Fitness.” Just a few months ago, I released “40 Days of Faith and Fitness for Tweens and Teens.”
I want every woman, no matter her age, to know that God made her to be amazing. I want her to know that He loves her just as she is. In fact, she has been carefully crafted by the Creator of the Universe Himself.
He saved me and set me free, and I want to share that message with others. It’s the most important message we can share.
You have a message you can share too. Are you passing down your faith to your children or others whom God has placed in your sphere of influence?
Happy Sunday!
