The Lord is Looking Down and Sees You ~ Sunday Devotion
The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. Psalm 33:13-14 (NLT)
When you read that verse, did you simply picture the Lord looking down and seeing a bunch of dots on the earth? A big, blurry mass? Me too.
I recently went to the eye doctor to get new glasses. To read the words on the pages of the book I’m holding in my hands, I need glasses. If I don’t wear them, I can still see the words, but I don’t see them clearly. So why would I think that the Lord looks down on the earth and sees anything more than a bunch of dots moving about when I can’t read a sentence an arm’s length away?
Thank goodness the Lord is nothing like I am. When He looks down on us, He doesn’t only see us, the human race. He sees each one of us. He sees you. And, He sees me. Not only does He see you physically, but He sees into your heart. He knows how you are feeling, what you are thinking. God knows you individually.
You have not been forgotten. The Lords sees you. And He loves you very much. Share on X
If you’re feeling lost or forgotten today, know that the Lord is looking down from heaven, and He sees you. He knows what you’re wearing and what you’re doing. He knows how you’re feeling and what’s troubling you. He understands. He has compassion. The Lord is ready to help you. He loves you so much. You have not been forgotten nor have you been overlooked. The Lord is looking down, and He sees you.
Action Step: Read chapter 33 of Psalms. As you do, picture the Lord looking down and seeing you. Tell Him what is on your heart. Let Him wrap you in His loving arms.
Happy Sunday!
