Jesus Sees You ~ Sunday Devotion
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. John 11:33 (NIV)
Jesus sees you weeping, and it touches His heart. Knowing this now, I would’ve told my younger self…
When you were in your room crying after elementary school pictures feeling like you looked like a boy, Jesus saw you.
When you sat alone at the lunch table filled with all sorts of insecurities, Jesus saw you.
When you were hiding in a college dorm room taking laxatives trying to lose weight, Jesus saw you.
When you were a 20-something and 30-something-year-old woman crying tears over the number on the scale, Jesus saw you.
Every time I shed a tear over my weight, my insecurities, my loneliness, He saw me. Those tears moved Him. Now I know that He so badly wanted me to hand over my worries to Him. He wanted me to bring Him my burdens. I tried by praying, but then I went back to my way of doing things. It troubled Him when I did that. Eventually, I let Him comfort me. I let Him heal me. I let Him wipe away those tears. I let Him set me free.
You are not alone. Jesus sees you weeping, and it moves Him. He is ready to touch you and to wipe away your tears. Will you let Him? Share on XJesus sees you. He’s sitting with you while you cry. Will you let Him wipe away those tears? He so badly wants you to run to Him and let Him heal whatever is causing your tears. Nothing is too small or too big. Nothing is insignificant to Him. If you’re a parent, you know this. When your child hurts, you hurt. It’s the same for Jesus when He sees you weeping.
Action Step: Jesus sees you weeping. No matter your age or stage of life, He can wipe away those tears and set you free. Will you let Him?
Happy Sunday!
