I Want to Hear You ~ Sunday Devotional

“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.” Psalm 143:8 (NKJV)

How serious are you about wanting to know Him more?

There’s no rule that says you have to have your quiet time, devotions, prayers in the morning, but I do find that how I spend my morning sets the tone for the entire day.

You may not be able to spend a long time in the Word each morning but spending a little time will help set the focus.

Lunch or evening may be a better time for a little longer or more intentional quiet time but I believe that a little something is important in the morning.

The verse says “in the morning…”

If we are serious about getting closer to the Lord and seeing clearly His plan for our lives, we need to make time with Him.

He is always there. The Word tells us He is ever present. He is I Am.

It’s not Him that is not available. It is us.

When we seek Him, He can be found.

He wants to show us the way, but we have to show up and be willing to listen and obey.

Sometimes that includes a sacrifice.

He sacrificed everything for us. Could you get up a few minutes early this week to meet with Him?

Like a parent, He just wants to spend time with you. Will you make time?

Happy Sunday!
