He Sees You ~ Sunday Devotional
“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 (NIV)
Hagar was rejected. She felt alone. But God never left her. He was there.
He’s always there.
God saw Hagar, and He sees you.
It sounds so simple, and on the one hand, it is. God sees us. He sees you. He sees me. That’s just the way He is.
He is a loving God who is concerned about His creation…you and me.
But this truth is also profound. It’s huge. It’s amazing and nearly unfathomable that God in Heaven does see you and see me.
I don’t know about you, but I find it difficult to wrap my mind around this some days. To grasp that the God of the Universe sees insignificant me.
Have you felt that way too?
It’s easy to dismiss ourselves and feel unworthy or not enough.
But I want you to know that there’s nothing insignificant about you.
You are worthy.
You are known.
You are enough.
You are loved.
He sees you.
Take a moment and sit quietly. Envision your Heavenly Father looking down on you right now, not with judgement but with adoring eyes, eyes only for you. Let the moment wash over you and envelope you with the comfort and safety of His love.
Happy Sunday!
