You May Have Life ~ Sunday Devotion

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)

You may have life. The opportunity is yours. Jesus came so that you may have life, but He’s not going to force you.

This makes me think back to growing up when I’d ask a question and start with “can,” and the teacher would prompt me to say “may” instead. You have permission to have life, abundant life at that, but will you choose it?

It’s not a matter of ability. The devil will lead you to believe you are not deserving enough or that you have to work harder to earn it, but those are simply lies. His purpose is to steal your hope, kill your dreams, and destroy your self-image.

But he’s wrong. Don’t let those tactics limit your living.

Jesus came so that you may have life. Will you choose to live it and live it fully? #FaithAndFitness Click To Tweet

I allowed Satan to steal away my inner peace. He destroyed my confidence for a time. Because I allowed him to distract me with all that I felt I needed to do to be happy, I spent a long period of time not choosing life.

But when I allowed God to set me free and do in me what He came to do, I began to live…fully.

Today. This day. This season of your life can be your best. Are you ready to choose it and embrace it?

It’s time to stop listening to the lies that lead you to believe you must look a certain way or hit a magic weight before you can live an abundant life.

If you’re not living an abundant life, it’s because Satan has led you to believe that you don’t deserve it. But God. He came to give you life. Will you choose it?

Action Step: Choose to have life today. Don’t give the enemy another day to steal, kill, or destroy the abundant life God has for you.

Happy Sunday!
