God Chose You ~ Sunday Devotion
God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace. 1 Peter 1:2 (NLT)
When you read this verse, did you notice that the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are named here? The whole team! Not only are they named, but they are working in and for you. God chose you. His Spirit made you holy. By the blood of Jesus, you were cleansed. Essentially, all of God’s resources are at work in us. As a result, we have more grace and peace. We can’t do this for ourselves, but He can. He will if we let Him. Will you let Him?

God Made You Special. This is the title of a VeggieTales book I read to Ethan more times than I can count. It’s a message everyone needs to hear no matter your age: God made you special in His own special way!
God chose you. Not someone else. His whole team is at work for you. He wants to bless you with grace and peace. Will you let Him? Click To TweetGod chose you. He’s gifted you with His Spirit through the cleansing blood of Jesus. It’s only when you live the life He designed for you that you will experience grace and peace.
Celebrate you by being YOU. That’s who God chose. Not someone else. Not a different version of you. Not a smaller you. Not a more successful you. Not a prettier you. The you you are right now is who God wants.
Action Step: Are you utilizing all of God’s resources? Are you living your life or someone else’s? God chose you and designed a life just for you. He will fill you with His presence and His power to embrace your age and stage of life. Will you let Him?
