A Glimpse Into My Planner – What Happened In February
I got a new planner this year, and I started a series last month that I’m titling “A Glimpse Into My Planner”.
Each month I plan to give you a glimpse of what’s been happening, because I now keep EVERYTHING in my planner since there is a space for EVERYTHING.
Just to recap:
Each day not only has lines for my to do list, it also has 3 sections that I love:
- The Big 3 – This helps me prioritize. What 3 things MUST I get done today?
- Wellness – Daily workouts.
- Gratitude – 3 things each day for which I’m grateful daily.
I also make note of things the Lord shows me during my daily quiet time.
This new planner that I got this year has reduced my desk by 3 books, and I have it all in one place and I love it. I also love going back through my month to see what worked, what didn’t, what I got done, what I still need to do and so on.

So let’s take a glance back at February……
My goals for February:
- Promote my new Faith and Fitness Study Guide as well as my devotional for Lent
- Begin my free group for Lent
- Have a consultation call with Nicole Culver to work on clarifying my message
I met those goals and I’m super excited about the new study guide that I wrote and the women who are going through it with me in the Faith and Fitness Sisterhood. I’m also thrilled to know that a local church women’s group is doing the study as well. I had the privilege of speaking to them on the first night of their group.
I’m still spending 30 minutes most days on my blog, be it updating plugins, revamping pages or writing and posting new content. I love this focused time, and I feel like I’ve been more creative and consistent since doing this. I posted 3 new articles in January.
My husband and I went to Cabo for 5 days where we enjoyed a lot of rest and relaxation on a sunny beach, and I ran a 10K. It was a much needed break for both of us.
February was a good month. My gratitude list is long and I ran in Cabo. Find out what else happened in February. #planner #gratitude #faithandfitness Click To Tweet
Some things I was thankful for in February:
- New study guide.
- 1 on 1 meetings
- Had 2 speaking engagements and booked 2 future speaking engagements
- Copper Moon Coffee
- Vacation with Kent
- Frozen yogurt
- Kroger Clicklist
- Surprise discount on new running shoes through Ebates
- My story posted on Dashing Dish website
- Starbucks bike ride with my girlfriends
Workouts have consisted of running and yoga and metabolic conditioning. I raced one 10K in February and got outside on my bike 4 times.
During my quiet times through scripture and devotions the Lord is urging me to keep a focus on Him and trust Him with what He’s given me and to allow Him to move through me.
At the end of my Love God Greatly Bible study, the question was posed: What has your heart? We have all of God but does He truly have all of us?” (see Jeremiah 29:13)
And from my First5 devotional I read: Our gaze will guide us and we will become what we behold.
All pointing to a focus on Jesus and His Lordship in my life…..top priority!
This week I’ve started a new Love God Greatly study. It’s called “Fear and Anxiety: Learning to Overcome With God’s Truth”. I’ll be sure to share any nuggets that I get from that at the end of the month.
March brings Spring Break but we don’t have any plans to go anywhere. I’m hoping for lots of good running and biking weather this month.
As for the Faith and Fitness Sisterhood, we’ll continue building a healthy life on a foundation of faith by memorizing God’s word and applying His truth. The doors are always open. Come on over. You’ll fit right in!
Finally, I’m looking forward to getting back to some of my roots of counseling and booking 1 on 1 sessions either for a walk or coffee or even online chat. If this is something you’re interested check out more information here or email at marsha@marshaapsley.com
Fresh starts can happen any day of the week or month or even any hour of the day, but a new month is always a great excuse for a clean slate and a fresh start.
Here’s to bright days ahead!
