Freedom Isn’t Free—But It’s Yours ~ Sunday Devotion

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:7 (NLT)

Last week, I wrapped up sharing thirty-one Fit and Free devotions inside my Faith and Fitness Support and Accountability Community. Throughout July, our focus was on letting go of anything still holding us back—anything coming between us and the freedom God wants for us on our faith and fitness journey.

God is so rich in His kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom. It is free to you and me, but it came at a great price. With the blood of Jesus, God paid for both our freedom and our forgiveness.

Are you walking in that freedom?

Freedom is yours because God paid the price through the blood of Jesus. It's time to accept this gift and start walking in it. Share on X

So often, we live like we still owe something—like we need to earn God’s love or prove our worth through a number on the scale, a perfect week of workouts, or clean eating. But Ephesians 1:7 reminds us that the price has already been paid. Freedom is not something we have to fight for—it’s something we have to accept then walk in. The question isn’t whether you’re free; it’s whether you’re choosing to live like it.

Action Step: Are you living like someone who’s been forgiven? Are you living in freedom? God purchased it. Jesus died so that you can be free. Accept the gift and start living fit and free today.

This week, consider: How might your choices look different if you saw movement and healthy living as a response to grace rather than a punishment or obligation?

Happy Sunday!
