quarterly review

Time for Review ~ First Quarter 2022

We’ve come to the end of the first quarter of 2022. I’ve been doing these recaps for a few years now by giving you a glimpse into my Kitlife Planner. That’s the place where I keep track of everything. In fact, it even has a quarterly check-in spot.

2022 kitlife planner

The main parts of my Kitlife Daily are…

  • The Big 3 – This helps me prioritize. What three things must I get done today?
  • Self-Care – This is a daily practice. Self-care is so much more than a spa day. It’s little things done daily that fill my cup.
  • Gratitude – I write down three things each day that I’m grateful for. Some days they are big things but many days they’re the simple things.
  • Activity – Place to track regular exercise.
  • Meal Plan – Sometimes this serves as an area for me to note what I eat throughout the day, other times it’s what I plan for dinner.

There’s also plenty of space for notes or journaling. I often jot down my social media posting schedule here as well as notes from my Bible study or a quote I want to remember.

This post may contain affiliate links. It doesn’t change anything for you. I only share things I love!

I’ve been using a Kitlife Planner since 2018. It’s the best planner ever! In fact, I now have a discount code to share with you. Simply put “Marsha” in the coupon code location and get $5 off your purchase of any planner.

So how did January, February, and March go?

The Highlights

Embrace – It’s my word for this year. I’m turning 50 in September and I’m fully embracing this age and stage of life. I’m celebrating 10 years of living fit and free – free from dieting and free to honor the unique body God has entrusted to me.

A Year of Sundays – My new book is off and running.

#Moderation365 – I became a #Moderation365 Certified Nutrition Consultant in 2020, and I’m educating more and more women on how to apply this approach to their lives to lead to more freedom and less obsession.

Weigh Your Words and Drink More Water challengesWeigh Your Words was a return challenge and Drink More Water was a new one. Both helped women consistently pursue her faith and her fitness.

Speaking engagement – We’re getting back to in-person events, and I had the opportunity to speak at a local church about my journey of finding freedom in my fitness.

  • Visit to dentist

  • Turn on the furnace

Activity

I’m practicing daily yoga for 10-30 minutes. Every day I get outside for fresh air. Running has been good. I do some sort of strength training 4 times a week. Biggest step has been committing to one easy day a week. I still do a yoga flow and get outside for a walk but no running or other cardio and no strength training. Rest is important, but it’s been something I’ve had a difficult time embracing when it comes to daily workouts. Still a work in progress 😉

How I used meal plan section

I used this space to track what I’m eating and how my body responds to it. Just gathering information. Recently, I attended a nutrition workshop and plan to attend another in April. Each is helping me dive into my own personal nutrition and how food impacts my body. My notes are helping me develop a better awareness of how my body responds to certain foods.

Faith

I started the year with a Love God Greatly Bible study about prayer. I’m currently following their study on the book of John. We did 40 Days of Faith and Fitness together in my Faith and Fitness Membership Community.

What’s next?

#Moderation365 Coaching Group – April 18-May 27.

Mile a Day Challenge – Memorial Day through July 4.

Stay tuned for 50 Days to 50 to help me celebrate turning 50. This will begin in August.

Looking forward to having Ethan home for the summer. He turns 19 in April. When did that happen??

Cheers to Second Quarter 2022!
