He’ll Do It Again ~ Sunday Devotional
You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again, and bring me up again from the depths of the earth. You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. Psalm 71:20-21 (NKJV)
The commentary in my Bible titles Psalm 71 “A Senior Citizen’s Prayer.” While I’m far from identifying in that category, I can tell you that God has been there for me again and again and again.
This chapter recounts how God has been a rock for the writer. He writes of his gratitude for all God has done for him over the years.
I imagine that no matter where you are in life, no matter how old you are, you have experienced God’s goodness in your life. He has been your help in times of trouble. He has lifted you up when you’ve fallen. He has comforted you in times of trouble.
Here’s the beautiful thing about the God that we serve – He will do it again and again and again.
Although trouble, hardships, difficulties come to us in this life, God will be there. Whether those troubles result from choices that we make or things outside of our control, He’ll be there.
No matter how many times you or I fall or fail, He will be there to lift us up.
Don’t let questions and insecurities keep you from going to Him.
You’ve not drifted too far for Him to reach you.
You’ve not cried out for His help one too many times.
He’s here for you today and He’ll be there for you again tomorrow and for all your days to come.
Praise Him for what He’s done and take today’s concerns to Him.
He’s ready to help you…again.
Happy Sunday!
