Bring You Back ~ Sunday Devotional
Have you ever wandered?
Have you ever felt far from God?
Perhaps you’re like me and strayed away in a particular area of your life.
I wandered many years in a desert of diets, feeling sorry for myself, and disliking how God created me.
Jeremiah 29 is a letter to the captives with the promise that God is faithful.
You’re likely familiar with verse 11 that tells us God has good plans for us. This word gives us hope and encouragement.
And then there’s verse 14. The Living Bible translation says this,
“Yes, says the Lord, I will be found by you, and I will end your slavery and restore your fortunes; I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and bring you back home again to your own land.”
You may have wandered.
These are choices that we make. I made the choice to wander away and then stay there until I figured out what I was looking for.
I was looking in all the wrong places but then He showed Himself to me. I found Him.
And then I let Him bring me back to the truth of who I am in Him. Who I was when He created me. He said I was good. He says that about you too.
“I will gather you” – I just feel Him gathering us in His arms, loving Father.
He wants to wrap His arms around you, gather you up, and bring you back. He loves you so much!
If you’ve wandered, He will bring you back.
He can restore that area of your life.
He wants to bring you home, back into His loving arms. Will you let Him?
