Who Can Be Against Us? ~ Sunday Devotional
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 (NKJV)
“These things” refers to the verses before this about you and I being known by God, called, chosen for a purpose, and justified.
If God has done that and says those things about you, then who can be against you?
Earlier this year, I did Weigh Your Words Challenge. One day, a member of my Faith and Fitness Community emailed me and said this verse came up for her that day. She said that the “who can be against us” can oftentimes be ourselves.
If God is for you, can you be against you?
Do you work against what God wants to do in and through you by the way you speak to and about yourself?
There’s that saying, “I’m my own worst enemy.”
Is that you?
Do you judge yourself?
Do negative thoughts consume you?
Do you say things to yourself that you’d never say to someone else?
Do you give grace to others but not to yourself?
God is for you.
He called you.
He knew you and chose you.
Because of this, no one can win against you.
But first, you have to accept these things from Him.
You must see the truth in who He says you are.
Don’t work against Him. Let Him cheer you on.
Happy Sunday!
