Above All ~ Sunday Devotion
Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. 1 Samuel 12:24 (NKJV)
What has the top spot in your life?
Who do you wake up for every morning?
What do you live for?
The Lord has done great things for you. Are you living whole-heartedly for Him? Share on XOur verse says, Only…the Lord.
Above all else…
Above others…
Above things…
The Lord must be above all things. He needs to have all of our heart. He must come before people, possessions, and promotions. That means His goals for us should become our goals.
The Lord has given us all that we have, so to love and serve Him is our highest calling.
This doesn’t mean that we have to ditch everything and the people around us. It simply means that we must align our priorities with His purpose for our lives. He needs to be number one. Everything will fall under that.
With Him above all, you can love and serve others well. He will empower you to do the things He’s called you to do. You will see His hand in every area of your life. He will lead and guide you. But it starts with us making Him first above all else. Will you do that today?
Action Step: Think about all the great things the Lord has done for you. Does He have all of your heart? If not, what is taking up some of that space? Hand that over to the Lord and let Him consume all of you.
Happy Sunday!
