Transformations ~ Sunday Devotional

“After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.”  Mark 9:2-3 (NIV)

Inside out transformations.

Jesus is showing us exactly how He wants our lives to be transformed.

He’s not interested in before and after photos that focus on body shape.

He wants our transformations to begin on the inside.

He took this opportunity to reveal the brightness and beauty of God in Him.  We can do the same by shining brightly for Him.

How?

We must allow Him to do a work in our lives.

Instead of working so hard for a body transformation and putting all of your time and energy into your physical fitness, make your spiritual fitness your top priority.

Yes, God wants us to be good stewards of our physical bodies because we need to be well to do what He’s called us to do.

But first, we must know what He’s called us to do.  And to know His plan and purpose for your life, you need to know Him.

Make knowing God your number one priority.  The more you are transformed into the person He’s called you to be the more radiant you’ll become.

Make it your goal for people to ask you how you have so much peace and love in your life rather than how you lost those last five pounds.

Happy Sunday!
