Are You Feeling Squeezed? Why That’s Exactly Where You Want to Be
Are you feeling squeezed? Usually this is not a positive thing. Usually when you feel squeeze, you’re feeling overwhelmed. But stay with me. I’d like to offer to you that being squeezed is exactly where you want to be.
Every now and then I go a bit off the grid of faith and fitness as in the combination of faith and fitness. Although, in my life, it seems that there’s never a disconnect from how faith plays a role in my fitness. But today’s post is more about faith and how loved and cared for by God we are. Today’s post is about Isaiah 49:16: “See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands”
Make a fist. Squeeze it really tightly! Ok, now open it up. Do you see your fingernail prints in your hand? That’s what this verse means. God is holding you so tightly that you are imprinted in His palm.
After I heard Beth Moore teach this verse, it’s become one of my favorites. He holds me. He holds you. Tightly.
You need to know you are being held safely in His hands. You got this, because He's got you. Click To Tweet
I feel like today someone needs to know He holds you in His hand. And not loosely, but He has a firm grip on you. You are safe in His palm. He’s holding you so tightly, you are imprinted right there.
He loves us so much. He loves YOU so much. He’s got you. And come to think about it, as I go back to the beginning of this post, this has EVERYTHING to do with fitness. We have to own the fact that we are loved just as we are. Until we do that, the changes on the outside are just cosmetic and they won’t stick. We will age. Our bodies change whether we want them to or not.
But He never changes. His love for us never changes. His hold on us never changes.
